Body Control . Imagine if when we gave kids cars we didn’t teach them how to use the steering wheel . We focused primarily on how to power the car , but not control it... . We spent hours per week on the GPS system (running plays, learning sets) without even knowing how to make a correct right turn . Body control, Balance, coordination, THE FUNDAMENTALS . Can you imagine hitting left but your player lags, or jump and your character can’t quite do it . Our player (ourselves) needs to be able to respond to our controls/commands (thoughts/reactions) immediately. . If you want to cut right, you should be able to cut right with no hesitation, unless you want to hesitate ... . If you haven’t loaded up the movement patterns and player abilities than you’ll probably fit in to the unathletic category . If your player (you) doesn’t have balance, coordination, reaction, body control, proper running/jumping mechanics than don’t be upset when your controller seems to be off .
