Our 6th grade team fell to Waukee 20-35 yesterday in their last game of the season. Incredible progress made from game 1 to game 6. And, not one Covid case. Thank you to the players, Coaches and families -- we look forward to seeing you next year! We were honored to have Joe Mahoney give his time and talents to take over 600 pictures at the game. He's taken tens of thousands of high quality pictures over the years for Roosevelt athletics. He's shared pics from the game ...at no cost. We are saddened to learn of the passing of Kevin Slaybaugh, Kevin was the leader of Mid Iowa Youth Football and Waukee Youth Football. Several years ago, Rider Club Football was looking to move to a more competitive environment against more local programs. When we reached out Mid Iowa Youth Football League, we were welcomed by Kevin. Kevin has been terrific partner for our program, the result has been the opportunity for hundreds of kids from our community to compete alongside those suburban programs. The Rider Club Football board and volunteers all share our sympathies to his family and the Waukee community affected by his passing.
