To wrap up Poetry month students will be celebrating "Poem in your Pocket Day" this Thursday, April 29th. In library classes students are illustrationing, selecting and writing their poems but we need your help, POCKETS! Please have your student wear something with pockets Thursday so they have a place for their poem.

We are excited to announce that Hopewell Harvest planning is underway for 2021! Please save the date for Friday, Sept 17 from 5-7 pm, for an outdoor Hopewell Harvest Beach Party! With the event earlier in the year, the committees are already hard at work collecting and purchasing items to make the event a success...and WE NEED YOUR HELP! Don't miss the last book fair of the year - it's going to be a good one! Hopewell's BOGO Book Fair will be held Wednesday, May 12th from 3:30pm- 6:30pm on the playground behind the school. Come stock up for summer reading with buy one book, get a second book for free. We encourage all to wear masks and prefer credit card payment for a contactless transaction. Thanks for your support!

As we say goodbye to another school year this week, we would like to especially wish the 6th graders well as they move on to the junior high next year. Thanks for being such a special part of our Hopewell community.

With the warmer weather, we have a lot of students walking and biking to and from school. A shout out to our hard working volunteer student crossing guard workers for keeping the students safe and the traffic flowing.

So much gratitude and thanks goes to our amazing teachers and staff this past week for Teacher Appreciation Week (and always!) We aren’t looking for any credit, but we wanted to let you know the ways that the PTA helped celebrate our Hopewell staff. Our Teacher Appreciation Committee had a lovely lineup for each day of the week. They made bulletin board displays, orchestrated a raffle for prizes, got Jersey Mikes, Whitey’s gift cards, prepackaged snacks, and organized... the flowers for the teachers on Monday.
