Happy beginning of summer Iowa City, and Northside Neighbors! Believe it or not, the Prairie Kitchen Store is almost 1 year old. We really can't say enough how grateful we are for the community's support so far. It certainly has been one heck of a year... We thought it would be a good time for an update from the PKS family... We are as excited as you all that things are looking up. It feels like the Northside is coming awake again, and we're loving it! We're vaccinated agains...t Covid-19, and we hope, if you aren't already, you will be soon. We are no longer requiring masks in our store, though we ask those who are not vaccinated to wear a mask. And we encourage everybody to be mindful of the fact that, for many, this has been a very traumatic year, and to have empathy and compassion as we move forward. We are excited to say we are re-starting our drink service tomorrow (Saturday). Big Grove Brewery beer is back on tap, and wine, coffee + tea and other drinks are now available at PKS. We are also thrilled to now offer Bread Garden Market & Bakery pastries every Saturday!! Croissants, doughnuts & Danishes will be available to start. There is no lack of cozy seating options out on the Northside Linn Street Patio, and we've got bistro tables & chairs available out front of our store for those looking to enjoy a drink :) There is a lot going on in downtown Iowa City this summer, and we're looking forward to it all. This Saturday is the Iowa City Downtown District Summer shop crawl.
