We are doing an alphabet Countdown to the end of the year. Yesterday students read with flashlights for the letter Ff. Below is Ms. Lee's classroom reading with flashlights.

It’s teacher appreciation week! Yesterday staff received bagels and coffee for breakfast. Today was a popcorn snack bar. Tomorrow staff gets lunch from the para educators. Thursday we will fuel up our super heroes with a special treat, and Friday they will receive a small token of appreciation from Poyner administration. If your student attends Poyner, send a nice note of appreciation to honor them this week. You could also reach out to a teacher from your past who made a difference and let them know how they helped you! Words are powerful, and our teachers love hearing how they help change lives!

Dear Poyner families, Our Relay for Life Recess is being postponed to Tuesday, June 1st due to weather potential for rain and cold temperatures. Attached is the letter about our Relay for Life Recess information. Also, please be sure you send students to school with a jacket and warmer clothing. The high is supposed to be 50 degrees.
