The most common crash in a work zone is the rear-end collision. In 2019 alone, there were 762 fatal crashes in work zones. To avoid this type of accident, don't tailgate! Slow down and keep a safe distance between you and the car ahead of you.

Work zones aren't there to inconvenience you personally. Remember, the work zone crew members are working to improve the road and make your community and your future drives better! Stay calm and be patient. Crews are doing their best to work efficiently and to keep you safe.
