What a treat it was to visit the Lewelling Quaker House in Salem! Once a functional part of the Underground Railroad, this historic national landmark is a must visit location for any history buff. We couldn’t be more pleased with our trip! #FrontierCulture #SunnybrookSighteers

The 2018 Lewelling Quaker Museum was a success! There was lots of yummy food and a wonderful presentation by our President Dave Helman and Vice President Cathy Helman about World War I! We are so glad to see everyone who came out to support our museum!

On April 28, 2019 we held our annual tea at the Congregational Church in Salem, Iowa. We were honored to have present Rachelle Chase who had copies of her newest book "Creating the Black Utopian of Buxton, Iowa." We were also honored to have two descendants of Henderson Lewelling come all the way from California, Walt and Lee Luelling. This year we decided to honor a non-board member who helps the Lewelling Quaker Museum greatly and that person was Jim Dean of Salem, Iowa. In all the 16th Annual Spring Tea was a hit! We thank everyone for coming and supporting us!
