This handsome and charismatic fellow is estimated to be 7-8 years old. Billy is a neutered male cat available for adoption from Kirkwood Animal Health. He is up-to-date on rabies, feline distemper, feline viral rhinotracheitis and feline calicivirus vaccinations, and is negative for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus. He has been dewormed and treated with flea preventative. Billy is a super chill guy who loves to make biscuits in your lap. We can't guarantee he will get along with every dog but he has done well with the cat-friendly dogs he has met. If you have the perfect indoor-only home for Billy, please email [email protected] or call 319-398-5899 x4027. Billy will be available to go home after April 19th. The adoption fee, including microchip registration, is $100.

During the fall semester, both first year Veterinary Technician students and Veterinary Assisting students take a class called "Animal Behavior and Kennel Management," (ABKM) Part of the class is the Breed Test, in which students are shown pictures of different dog and cat breeds and must identify them (and correctly spell the breed name!) The dog breeds covered are the top 100 breeds registered with the American Kennel Club the previous year. The AKC has just released the list for 2020, so the top 100 are the breeds that will be on the ABKM breed test in the fall of 2021. In case you wanted to start studying now...!
