Greene County Elementary students celebrated National Bike to School day this morning. Have fun and be safe on the road!

High school students will be taking ISASP tests this week. Please remind your students to bring charged Chromebooks to school each day.

Prom 2021 By Sadie Wilson Prom 2021 will take place on Saturday, April 10 at the Wild Rose Event Center. The theme this year is Golden Gala. There will be a gra...nd march prior to the prom at the Greene County High School auditorium at 6:00 p.m. Due to COVID concerns, administration is allowing only two guests per prom-goer at the grand march. The names of these guests must be on a list for admission.Others will have the opportunity to view the grand march on a livestream video. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. for the students, parents, and guests. Parents and guests are expected to park on the north side of the school, while students are asked to park on the south side. Immediately following the grand march students will go directly to the banquet and dance at the event center. Following the banquet and dance, students will go to the rec center. There will be games, a hypnotist, food, and prizes organized by the after-prom committee. See more

Congratulations to Mr. Brown, Mrs. Hoyle, and Mrs. Paulsen! New Way Trucks presented these teachers with the Outstanding Teacher Award. Each received a backpack with items such as headphones, wireless speakers, a book, a water bottle, and $500!

FYI: Greene County Public Health has 1170 doses of Pfizer vaccine and will stand up a community vaccine clinic on Wednesday, March 31st from 12:30-6:30 PM at Wild Rose Casino and Resort Ballroom. Public Health can help those without computer/internet access to sign up by calling 515-386-0564 Those without insurance coverage will NOT be turned away! Anyone ages 16 and older in the following populations included in the attached photo are eligible for the vaccine.

To PK parents: There will be no PK classes on Wednesday, March 31st. The following teachers will NOT have class on Wednesday: Aalfs, Henning, Meredith, Towers, Taylor.

To the Parents of 4th Graders: You are invited to parent meeting at the Greene County Middle School (101 Ram Drive in Jefferson) on May 10 at 6:30PM! During this short (est. 30 minutes) meeting, GCMS staff will be sharing general information about 5th grade. You and your student will have the opportunity to tour the building and get answers to important questions you may have about making the transition to middle school. In an effort to minimize the number of bodies in our building, we are requesting that your student bring NO MORE THAN TWO people along for this event. Face masks are suggested but not required, and we will be seating people while taking physical distance into account. Please plan to join us for a sneak peak at middle level education for your student!
