**UPDATE 4/5/2020: GROVE & PLATT WILL BE TEMPORARILY CLOSED IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19** With the most recent developments in the COVID-19 pandemic, we are updating our protocol here at Grove & Platt Dental Associates. We regret to inform you that effective immediately, we will be closing our office following the recommendations of the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Board and the Department of Public Health. We will no longer... be seeing patients for routine dental visits or restorative visits at this time. We will be available for Emergency Dental visits only. You may call our office at (515)-986-4001, where an on call emergency phone number will be given, connecting you to one of our dentists. Emergency visits include, tooth pain, swelling, infection, and trauma. The Iowa Dental Board has urged us to use teledental triage. You may be asked to take a picture of the area in question and text it to our on call dentist to evaluate. ***If you are experiencing a true medical emergency, seek immediate attention at your nearest hospital. We are sorry for the inconvenience. However, the safety of our patients, staff and community are the utmost importance to us at this time. We will continue to closely monitor the guidance and recommendations of the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, American Dental Association, The Iowa Dental Board, and The Department of Public Health. If you had a pre-scheduled appointment on March 23-April 30, you will receive either a text message or email letting you know that appointment has been cancelled. You will be contacted to reschedule your appointment once our office reopens. We are hoping to reopen our office on May 1. This date is tentative to the recommended quarantine in conjunction to the American Dental Association and the Iowa Dental Board. Please continue to monitor our Facebook page for updates. GROVE & PLATT CHANGE IN OFFICE POLICY IN RESPONSE TO COVID -19 As you are aware, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued warnings and precautions to healthcare providers worldwide regarding the Coronavirus. Grove &Platt is taking every precaution necessary to limit the exposure of any virus within our office, and we ask that you help us by participating in these precautions. In order to minimize the community spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), effective ...immediately, Grove & Platt is implementing the following policies: *Please inform us if you are currently experiencing a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing. If you are experiencing these symptoms, please call our office (515)-986-4001 to reschedule your appointment. *Our dental staff will be taking temperatures on each patient upon arrival. If you have a temperature reading 100 degrees or higher, your appointment will be rescheduled. *Please inform us of any recent travel outside of the U.S. to areas considered level 3 precaution by the CDC. This includes the following countries: Italy, South Korea, Iran, China, UK, Ireland,France and Spain. *Please inform us if you have traveled within the U.S. *If you are high-risk, Older Adults (60+) or have serious health issues(Heart Disease, Diabetes, Lung Disease, etc.), Immunocompromised, or do not feel comfortable coming into the office, please feel free to call and reschedule your appointment. Your safety is the utmost importance to us here at Grove and Platt. We will do our best to keep you informed and our staff updated of any necessary changes following the CDC guidelines.
