Gosch's Plumbing, Heating, and Pump Service

A few months back we announced that we were going to be offering a new service. Well today I am happy to announce that Gosch's Plumbing and Heating will now offer duct cleaning as an option to our list of services. We will also be able to clean your dryer vents as well. We have some details to work out before scheduling jobs, but feel free to send us a message or give us a call and once we are up and running we will get you a quote.

Public Service Announcement.....Do not ever put any drain cleaner down any frozen sewer line!!! Salt can be used in moderation but it either has to thaw naturally or a steamer or jetter will have to be used. Chemicals in a plugged sewer will dilute, in a frozen sewer it sits and can be very dangerous to the individuals having to try to open it. Thanks

1" furnace filters are not 3 month filters regardless of what it says on the wrapper. Just like cat litter and flushable wipes are not flushable. Clear your furnace vents of snow and ice along with gas meters and LP regulators. Open all your furnace register and vents, do not close or cover...the furnace needs to distribute the heat from the heat exchanger. Plug your heat tapes in, if you have them. If you smell sewer gas or there is gurgling from you sinks or drains when stool is flushed, most likely your sewer vent is frozen. These are all the calls we have dealt with this week and most are avoidable. Its gonna be colder this weekend so keep an eye on these things. Also if you know your neighbors are gone...check on their houses to make sure all is well.
