WATERMELON DAYS LOGO CONTEST BEGINS! The Fayette Watermelon Days committee has announced the theme for Watermelon Days 2020 is "Fayette in Full Glow". This year, we are partnering with Upper Iowa University, and will offer FREE carnival rides and games on Friday night (Sept. 11, 2020) and on part of the day Saturday (Sept. 12, 2020). We now need YOUR help! Everyone is invited to design and submit logo's for this year's event. The logo will be used to promote the event on pos...ters, buttons, t-shirts, online and other advertising. The winner of the Watermelon Days Logo Contest will win $50 cash. Submission requirements include: Logo/Design must include the words "Fayette in Full Glow", "UIU Carnival", "Watermelon Days" & "2020". It is recommended to have a watermelon on it or the use of watermelon colors. Please submit your logo/design to [email protected] - or email to arrange a pick-up. The contest ends on April 10th, 2020.

The 17th Annual Watermelon Days Tractor Ride was another success! Thank you to everyone who helped out with it and participated!

Anna, Olaf, Moana, Hercules and Rapunzel all performed at Watermelon Days 2019 during the free Cartoon Concert. The Warrior Servant Martial Arts also put on a Star Wars Battle. Watermelon Days is full of free, family fun all weekend long - the weekend after Labor Day - in Fayette, Iowa.

It is with sadness that we have decided to postpone Watermelon Days 2020 until 2021. We will meet again in 2021 for an epic event.

The church service in the park was at the perfect time and avoided the rain. The Fayette Car Show & Shine and Fayette Lions Club lunch (including more Watermelon) is in full swing at Klocks Island Park. The Tractor Ride is also out touring NE Iowa.
