Well, that was fast! The ADA (see below) and CDC have recommended that all dentists only see patients for emergencies in the next three weeks. We will be closing our office to non-emergency patients beginning Thursday, March 19th We hope to reopen to all patients on April 6th. Our plans are to have someone at the office Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 2 PM in case you have an emergency and to answer calls. You can also reach me on my cell phone, 563.650.2748. (from the ADA) In order for dentistry to do its part to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the ADA recommends dentists nationwide postpone elective procedures for the next three weeks. Concentrating on emergency dental care will allow us to care for our emergency patients and alleviate the burden that dental emergencies (may place on hospitals).

When selecting a toothpaste, the most important thing to look for is to make sure it has fluoride, as it fights the germs that cause tooth decay. While it is OK to consider flavor or whitening ability, fluoride should be your first consideration.
