Hawkeye Community College this past Summer launched "The WE Build Waterloo Building Trades Pre-Apprenticeship program is designed to create interest in a variety of construction trades and career paths into these occupations. Participants will be introduced to thirteen different construction trades, learn introductory skills, have access to employers, and will set themselves on a course for family-sustaining wages and benefits." University of Northern Iowa Metal Casting Center is adding some new equipment! They will be the first university-based center in the world to purchase a cutting-edge piece of robotics equipment!
