Today is a day dedicated to honoring and celebrating farmers!

We kicked off #Porktober21 with our annual manager meeting! This week, our sow farm managers and teams met to discuss updates and best practices and share ideas about improving their farms.

October is #PorkMonth, and we’re excited to celebrate all month long! Follow along with us while we share all about pork production and the people behind the product!

Agriculture students at Holly School District RE-3 recently started their production unit. AMVC public relations director, Alicia Humphrey, spoke to the class about modern pig farming and career opportunities to complement their curriculum.

We had so much fun bringing together our managers and leaders for a great night of celebration in Des Moines, Iowa. Seven employee awards and several Top 10 sow production awards were presented. Throughout the next weeks we will individually announce our winners. Stay tuned!

We're happy to be sponsoring the Audubon New Opportunities Mobile Food Pantry again this year! The donation will cover the cost of the off-site building rental, so our community has a place to host mobile food pantries throughout the year.

This Human Resources position will achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates. RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers.... Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements and completing resume searches. Interviews applicants on a consistent set of qualifications and maintains rapport. Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services. Assists with TN VISA recruitment program. Provides new hire orientation weekly and ensures paperwork is completed. Assigns and assists with Pork Quality Assurance and Transport Quality Assurance training sessions. Interprets, translates and transcribes between English and Spanish in various capacities: written documents, technical training, in-person and virtual. REQUIREMENTS Phone and customer service skills Organization skills Establish and maintain effective working relationships Strict adherence to confidentiality and professionalism Some travel required Speak and write in English and Spanish with ease
