Tango In Ames

Since we can't Tango in person, a blast from the not so distant past. Sun Oct 20 2019, just over a year ago. Seems like a decade. Its been a long pandemic without dance. We will soon return !! 3 hours of Tango fun at the Memorial Union in 2019 with Jeffrey Dawson, Eva Špaková, Miriam Martincic, Larry Gleason, Jose S. Figueroa, Lidia Skrynnikova, Yoko T., Valerie Williams, Dennis Lavrov and Pam McColley and Ed Hendrickson at Iowa State University Memorial Union.

Sad news, friends. I just learned that a former member of Tango in Ames has passed away. Gerry Sheble passed peacefully in his sleep yesterday. If you'd like to send a note to his wife, the address is 1315 Rogers St NW, Olympia, WA 98502.

Hello TANGOers !!! The 1st Tango Zoom Party of 2021 was a blast! A surprise virtual big birthday party for Larry. 40+ friends, Tangoers, relatives, and lots of Larry's classmates joined in all evening to wish Larry a happy birthday for 4 hours from 5pm to after 9pm !! The photo is just a time slice of all the well-wishers who Zoomed in from China, Alaska, Iowa, Brazil, Texas and lots of other places. Happy Birthday Larry !!... JOIN US !! Great news! We're starting classes and dances again on Sunday, August 1! We'll be meeting at the Memorial Union, in room 3512 with the lovely wood floor. I hope you can join us. I can't wait!
