Be Aware: There is a scam going around via telephone. If you receive a call from US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and they state that your identity has been stolen and they need personal information do not give it out!! They have also spoofed the numbers so when you return a call you will actually get the USCIS office. They will also have someone call stating they are the Vinton Police which isn't the case. If you have any concern or receive a call like this pl...ease contact Office of the Attorney General of Iowa or Federal Trade Commission to report fraud. If you have had a call and been compromised please call the Vinton Police Department 319-472-2321 and make sure to check with your bank, credit card companies and also to run a credit report which is free every 4 months from the 3 big companies from the website www.annualcreditreport.com See more

A BIG thank you to the Benton County Backs the Blue! They brought gift cards, sandwiches and chips for our Vinton Officers including treats for Gino! Funds were raised by the group from T-Shirt sales. Thank you for supporting all law enforcement in Benton County!
