Tractorbone Farm

Well, nobody decided to have lambs last night, which was a good thing. It was -5 F when I left the house at sunset (that's -21 C for my quirky European and Australian friends), and it was -20 F (-29 C) outside the greenhouse this morning when I woke up, and maybe a couple of degrees above freezing inside. And today at noon we reached all the way back up to -5 F, which is probably going to be the high temperature for the WEEK. Time to start cultivating some truly Finnish blood-alcohol levels to remain functional.

I always wanted a backup generator, but have been putting it off for six years. 10:15 PM in the middle of a snowstorm the generator developed a fuel-feed problem while I was topping-up the solar system's battery bank. So today I bought a backup--at least it will be, when I have time to get the original sorted. Budget? What budget?

It's going to be 35ish degrees below freezing tonight. Who wants to bet the ewes will decide to drop some more lambs?
