LFD is excited to show off our newest piece of equipment that was donated to the community! Thanks to Stockton Towing for donating this enclosed trailer to LFD last fall! Some of our members renovated the inside to carry our Rope Rescue, Grain Rescue and Ice Rescue Equipment!! This week Preferred Autobody & Graphics in LeMars completed a wrap with our decals! We greatly appreciate all those who helped make this project a success! This will definitely help us be even more efficient in our capabilities in responding to special rescue emergencies! #LFDstrong

OK Peeps, it’s that time of year again when we ALL need to be vigilant and aware that our local farmers are starting to move equipment on all our roadways! Citizens need to be aware that large farm implements take up lots of real estate when planting season arrives so lets be careful!!! We ask that our farmers have their equipment lighting and Slow Moving Vehicle Signs operating & in place on their equipment, also keep them cleaned off so there visible when having to travel on any roadway!! TOGETHER we can all do our part to ensure a safe planting season this year!! Stay Safe Everyone!!! #LFDStrong

Okay folks, as of this moment PLEASE DO NOT BURN - please do not light any type of fire outdoors. Our region is in a severe draught condition. National weather service has us in a fire warning due to dry conditions. Absolutely no fires of any kind outdoors. Your LFD members are trained and have the equipment for controlled burning of wild land property. We started doing controlled burning this morning and have been interrupted due to people burning carelessly outdoors. One such fire cost a property owner one of their buildings. We plead with you to wait burning until our vegetation has more moisture. Sincerely- thank you!! #LFDStrong
