The Lake Ridge Equestrian Trail is open for Easter weekend. The parking area in Lake Iowa Park by the silt pond still has wet and muddy areas. Please use caution and check BEFORE entering. The parking area in Pheasant Ridge is accessible from H Ave, turn down Maple Drive. One section of the trail is temporarily closed due to wet conditions. If you come across mud on the trail, please ride straight through, do not go around! Braided trails are much more difficult to fix. ... Check for trail conditions and closures before hauling out at iowacountyconservation.org Thank you and happy riding!

The water to the hydrants and the electricity are now on at the Lake Iowa Campground. The shower houses and dump station (which are not frost free) have not been de-winterized yet. We have yo wait until the threat of freezing is past before we do that. This picture was taken in the park April 15, 2020 for reference on Iowa's chaotic weather.
