Last week, April 12-16th was the Week of the Young Child! Preschool, Optional Kindergarten and KuemperCares students enjoyed a fun-filled week celebrating early learning & young children!

Kuemper 6th grade students recently completed their six week DARE program! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to be empowered to respect themselves and others and to choose a substance free lifestyle!

Discover Kuemper High School Night was held last Thursday for our 8th grade students and parents!! Students and parents were welcomed to the KHS family, they participated in breakout sessions which included: activities, course descriptions & student requirements and they were given some insider tips from our student led Q&A panel!

LIVE AUCTION ITEM This is a great opportunity to memorialize a loved one or promote a family’s Kuemper Pride by purchasing the naming rights to the Kuemper High School main scoreboard. A 2 ft. x 4 ft. personalized banner will be placed in the Kuemper Gym near the main scoreboard from July 1, 2021-June 30, 2022. Name on banner and final design will be approved by the Kuemper School Board. The auction will begin at approximately 8:30pm on May 1, 2021 at the Kuemper Fieldhouse.

Last week Kuemper held their 32nd annual induction ceremony for the Father Kuemper Honor Society. Our four pillars are Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service. Congratulations to all of our hardworking students on this major accomplishment!

Being a Ball Chair can be a lot of fun, right ladies? These ladies, and their husbands, will be greeting guests at the fieldhouse on Saturday, May 1st for the 2021 Friends of Kuemper Ball. Our prayers and condolences go out to the James Strautman family on the passing of their father. James, 94 of Carroll, died Thursday, April 22. Mr. Strautman was a beloved teacher and guidance counselor at Kuemper for many years. Memorial gifts may be left for the James J. Strautman Center for Academic Excellence at www.kuemper.org/strautman or they may be mailed to Sharp Funeral Home, 226 W. 8th St. Carroll, IA 51401 which will be forwarded to Kuemper.
