"Shared with permission-- Had the opportunity to join my lodge spring fellowship. I got to see both the ordeal and brotherhood ceremonies. Both ceremonies were done by new ceremonies teams. Yes there was few mistakes but they were up there serving there fellow scouts.. I remember my first ceremony as Meteu the medicine man.. Given the part a day before. Man oh boy did I mess up. But I practice and got better. I continued for 8 more years a different characters in all th...e different ceremonies. I loved being part of the mystic of the Order of the Arrow.. I challenged the new ordeal members to come back and get involved. Take an active role as they are our future. I told them not to be intimated by bars and triangles on the sashes they are your equal. They are expected to do more. I had a young man walk up and say how he remembered working with me 3 years ago and has been active ever since. This made my heart feel good that I could pass on the WWW Brotherhood of Cheerful service to another. Lastly got see them still using the Heavy Burden that I had cut and marked some 25 + years ago."
