While it is National Vet Tech week, here at Iowa Veterinary Wellness Center of Waukee, we recognize ALL of our team members because each one of us is an integral part of our success as individuals, as a team and as an exemplary veterinary practice. It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since we have seen so many of our clients! We miss talking with you during your appointments and hearing about what’s been going on in your world as we take care of your pet(s). Thank you for continuing to support us during this time and for your patience as we have navigated curbside service. It’s been a challenge for all of us! We are eager to see you back in the clinic when it is safe. Thank you for your trust and confidence as we do our best to keep our community and staff safe while continuing to care for your pets.

Humans and animals share many similarities, but it is best to assume our differences when it comes to medicine. For example, humans may get a bloody nose when the weather is dry. Bloody noses in animals can indicate a much more serious underlying condition. The same can go for inappetence. Humans may eat a huge meal that tides us over for awhile or we may get so busy that we forget to eat. If your pet is not eating, there could be something more serious going on. It’s always best to give your veterinarian a call if you notice any changes in your pet’s behavior or routine.

We get many calls from people who believe they have a silly question. There is no dumb question or question that is too trivial when it comes to your pet’s health. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your pet’s well-being, don't hesitate to reach out. We are here to help you!
