"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ..." -(2 Pet. 3:18) It was the grace of God that redeemed us, and God's grace is what also draws us closer to Him, and what we need to grow and stay in our steadfastness. We learn more about Jesus Christ when we go through trials, pain, suffering, tribulations, difficulties, and the list goes on. We learn more about Him because we experience more of Him in those things. His grace is sufficient and we... grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by what we go through and experience in life. We will never understand the depth, length, and the breadth of God's comfort without going through grief, heartbreak, or pain. We will never understand the depth of God's joy when we haven't been in desolation or gone through sadness, or brokenness. We understand more of who He is, His love for us, because we know what it feels like without Him, without serving Him, without having a relationship with Him. 1 Peter 5:10 says, "And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you." There is a purpose and a reason for everything, and we can grow in grace and in the knowledge of who He is in the things that we also go through. He is molding, shaping, and growing us so that we may mature, be equipped, and become better ambassadors of Jesus Christ.

"Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest" (Joshua 1:7). The Lord cautioned Joshua to not turn from the Book of Law to the right or to the left so that he may prosper wherever he goes. This was a conditional promise from God for Joshua for him to be successful in possessing the Promi...sed Land. In order to possess the Promised Land, Joshua and the children of Israel had to commit themselves to obeying His Word. This indicates the importance of the Word of God in our spiritual life. In a like manner, we will only be successful in our vision and in the mission of the church with the help of God and His Word. There is a requirement for prosperity and success in making it to our destination. It is by being strong, courageous, and diligent. It is by seeking earnestly the presence of God throughout our lives. It is allowing God's Word as our authoritative guide in everything that we do. The Lord's promises are conditioned with our obedience. As long as we fixed our focus on Him, we will prosper spiritually. We will prosper in what God has in store for us. We will prosper in our spiritual inheritance.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12). The letter to the Ephesians gives understanding of the believers’ position and identity in Him which are crucial both in the physical and spiritual realm. It is vital for us to understand and not forget our position and identity because we wrestle not against flesh and blood, ...but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph. 6:12). We must understand and remember to conduct ourselves as redeemed by Jesus Christ both in the physical and spiritual realm. While the heavenly realm is our ultimate home, we are, however, called to "let [our] conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ" (Philippians 1:27). The word "conversation" here means our lifestyle, therefore, we must live to conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, or as the New Living Translation says, to live as citizens of heaven." We are "strangers and pilgrims" (1 Peter 2:11) of the earth but are "partakers of the heavenly calling" (Hebrews 3:1). We are involved both in the natural and supernatural spheres of influence simultaneously. We are seated with Christ Jesus in the heavenly realms, but our walk is on earth, and therefore, our lifestyle is practical in reflection of the Apostolic doctrine. Thus, we must continue to keep our focus fixed on Him, and continue to be the light of this world through our lifestyle and through our Apostolic faith.

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him (Col. 4:16). We breathe to worship Him. The breath of life is by Him and for Him. We were created to worship Him. We were created to bring Him pleasure and glory. We were designed to worship. We worship Him because we find our hope in Him. God has redeemed our souls with His precious blood the blood that gives life. Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord (Ps. 150:6).
