With temperatures dropping rapidly in NW Iowa, salt is going to be less effective to clear the snow and ice off roads as this winter storm progresses. We'll be out in force with our plows, so if you need to be on the road, please give our plows plenty of space to work.

Hamilton County has been added to the Winter Storm Warning. We are expecting 4 to 7 inches, with 10 inches plus amounts to our south. Plan ahead travel will be difficult during this winter storm.

With the impending snow that is coming please help the city crews keep the streets clean. You can do this by not parking on the streets during this storm. Also remember sidewalks need to be cleared within 24 hours after the snow stops!

Hamilton County has an incoming winter weather system. Be weather aware today especially if you are traveling to the north and west. Plan ahead and have a plan B if weather affects your travel plans.
