No Middle School Practice tonight! See you all tomorrow (in warmer temps)

It's OFFICIAL!!! Summer Swim Team is Starting Soon!!! The session will run from Tuesday April 20 (for 7th to 12th Grade) or Monday May 3rd (for 1st to 6th grade) and continue until Saturday July 17th. Current 12th through 7th grade athletes are starting Tuesday April 20th! 4pm to 5:15pm M-T-W-Th Current 1st through 6th Graders will start Monday May 3rd! 5:15 to 6:15pm M-T-W-Th... Each practice time will have multiple smaller groups broken up within them based on need and ability. The coaching staff will make sure all athletes are in a small group that is a good fit for them! Beginning June 7th practice times will shift. 13 and older swim 7am to 8:45am M-T-W-Th-F 12 and younger swim 8:45 to 10am M-T-W-Th-F All Ages msy swim 5:45pm to 7pm T-W-Th It is recommended that all swimmers attend 3 to 5 practices per week once school is out for the summer. Middle School Team (7th and 8th) has been swimming now for 3 weeks! These athletes are getting better everyday! They are a fun group! We currently have 24 girls and 14 boys swimming and growing stronger! *Taking a break to float and do some relaxed breathing drills. We are making arrangements to get the East Lightning Club team back up and running again since being derailed by Covid-19 last March. We are hoping for an April 20th (Tuesday) start date.

DMPS will have a virtual learning day tomorrow, so no Middle School Swimming. We hope to see our 7th and 8th graders Tuesday!

USA Swimming Sectionals is taking place at the Downtown YMCA starting tomorrow and running Thursday through Saturday, they are still in need of volunteers, mostly to time. If you are interested in volunteering please let Coach Erin Lowe in the comments. High School students can use this as Silver Cord Hours. Let me know if you are interested and willing to help.

Good luck to Coach Jessica on her new adventures with her husband Blake as he is stationed in Germany! We miss you and LOVE you! Jessica Moreno!
