American Legion Club

Hope everyone is having a great day!!! We will be starting our summer food truck schedule this Friday with Taste of Country! Taste of Country have scheduled the following Friday dates, May 28th, June 4th, June 18th and June 25 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm on the north side of the American Legion Club. If any other food trucks are wanting a day to serve from our location feel free to message me anytime!!

Food truck schedule for July 2021! Friday July 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th, 4:30pm - 7:30pm we will continue to host Taste of Country food trailer with Rick & Janice Ekle!!!!

What a fantastic weekend of fundraising it has been!!!! This amazing community and all that support our organizations never ceases to amaze me with their outpouring of support!! Friday night we had the annual Arts Council fundraiser which pays for the expenses of the Strawberry festival, total raised was $8644.50!!! Saturday we had our first side by side ride to support the Van Buren County Crimestoppers, 99 individuals from the tri state area enjoyed the afternoon exploring our beautiful county’s gravel/county roads. $3705.00 was raised!!! These events could not be possible without the amazing support groups that work endless hours to make this all possible!!!! Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday!!

American Legion Post 231 Memorial Day Service will be held Monday May 31st 10:30am in the memorial garden located on the south side of the American Legion Club, Farmington, IA. Guest speaker will be Post 231 Commander, Chad Lamborn with Michael Browning reading the prayers. The 21 gun salute will be presented by the American Legion Post 231 & Sons of the American Legion Post 231. This is a rain or shine event. Following the service coffee, lemonade and deserts will be served in the American Legion Club. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend and take a moment to say a prayer to all military men and women that made the ultimate sacrifice for us all! God Bless America!
